What we collect, and what we do with it
Short version: one email address, the industry you were looking at when you signed up, and nothing else. Last updated 12 August 2026.
What we collect
If you sign up for contract expiry alerts we store the email address you typed, the NAICS industry code of the page you signed up from, that page's path, and the time you submitted the form. That is the whole record.
Browsing FedTally without signing up creates no account and no profile. There are no advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, and no third-party scripts on these pages.
Why we collect it
To send you the weekly email: the federal contracts in your industry whose period of performance is about to end, which is the work that is about to be rebid. We keep the NAICS code so the email is about your industry rather than all of them, and so we know which industries to cover next.
Who else sees it
Nobody. Your email address is never sold, rented, shared, or published. We use it to send you the alerts you asked for, and for nothing else. If that ever changes, we will ask you first rather than tell you afterwards.
Signups pass through our own hosting and automation infrastructure and an email delivery provider that sends the alerts on our behalf. Those services process the address only to deliver your email.
How to get off the list
Every alert has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click is enough. You can also email hi@fedtally.com and ask to be removed, or ask for a copy of what we hold about you. We delete the record rather than flag it as inactive.
Where the contract data comes from
Award and spending figures come from USAspending.gov, and expiring contract records come from SAM.gov. Both are public domain US Government data. FedTally is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any US Government agency.
Vendors are identified by company name and government-issued UEI only. We do not republish vendor street addresses.
