THE AEROSPACE EFFORT IS INTENDED TO COMPLEMENT AN ONGOING MITIGATION STUDY BY STAKEHOLDER AGENCIES AND OVERSEEN BY A SENIOR ADVISORY GROUP (SAG). ACCORDINGLY, THE PHASE I PRODUCTS OF THIS AEROSPACE STUDY IS INTENDED TO INFORM THE FORMULATION OF A SAG RECOMMENDATION AND THEREFOR IS SCHEDULED TO BE DELIVERED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SAG SCHEDULE WITH A DELIVERY DATE OF OCTOBER 15TH OR EARLIER. IN PERFORMING THIS STUDY, AEROSPACE WILL LEVERAGE EXPERTISE IN VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE CORPORATION, PRIMARILY, PROJECT WEST WING (PWW), THE PHYSICAL SCIENCE S LABORATORY (PSL), THE ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY GROUP (ETG), AND THE GPS PROGRAM OFFICE'S SYSTEMS ENGINEERING TEAM (GPS/ST). AEROSPACE'S PROJECT WEST WING WILL UTILIZE EXISTING IN-HOUSE ALL-SOURCE INTELLIGENCE DATA AND DRAW UPON UP TO DATE ILRS CHARACTERIZATION STUDIES, INFORMATION PROVIDED BY NASA, THE GLOBAL GEODETIC OBSERVING SYSTEM (GGOS) MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES, AND OTHER EXTERNAL SOURCE INFORMATION (WHERE AVAILABLE) TO DOCUMENT THE CURRENT GLOBAL SOURCE ENVIRONMENT, INCLUDING GROUND, AIR, AND SPACE-BASED ILLUMINATION SOURCES ASSOCIATED WITH ILRS COOPERATIVE LASING. AEROSPACE WILL EVALUATE THE POTENTIAL IMPACT ON EXPECTED GPS/III USNDS SENSOR TECHNOLOGIES RESULTING FROM THE CURRENT AND FUTURE ILRS AND ASSOCIATED ENVIRONMENTS. AEROSPACE USNDS-RELATED ELECTRONICS AND SYSTEMS EXPERTS ALONG WITH INSTRUMENTATION AND EFFECTS PHENOMENOLOGY EXPERTS WILL PROVIDE AN ASSESSMENT (QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE) OF THE IMPACT OF VARIOUS CLASSES OF SOURCES ON SENSOR AND VALIDATED MISSION, PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS. THEY WILL ALSO IDENTIFY A SUBSET OF GREATEST CONCERN, HIGHLIGHTING THE TECHNOLOGICAL AND OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS THAT DRIVE THIS CONCERN.
