ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT TOPICS INCLUDE: RANDOM VIBRATION LEVELS, MICROMETEOROID ANALYSIS, MECHANISM AND LIFE DESIGN, THERMAL TOPICS (UNCERTAINTY MARGIN, QUALIFICATION TEST RANGE), SPACE CHARGING, AND CONTAMINATION CONTROL. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH THE GOVERNMENT TO WORK THROUGH THE ALTERNATE LANGUAGE, INTERPRETATIONS AND RISK ASSESSMENTS OVER TELECOMS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONVEY REQUIRED INFORMATION THROUGH MARK-UPS IN THE VERSIONS OF THE INSTRUMENT TO HOST INTERFACE REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT PROVIDED. THE TROPOSPHERIC EMISSIONS: MONITORING OF POLLUTIONS INSTRUMENT IS THE FIRST SPACE-BASED INSTRUMENT TO MONITOR MAJOR AIR POLLUTANTS ACROSS THE NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENT. THE TROPOSPHERIC EMISSIONS: MONITORING OF POLLUTIONS TEAM ARE BUILDING A GEOSTATIONARY ULTRAVIOLET-VISIBLE (UV-VIS) SPECTROMETER TO CONTINUOUSLY MEASURE OZONE, AEROSOLS AND OTHER TRACE GASES OVER GREATER NORTH AMERICA. THE GEOSTATIONARY POSITION OF THE INSTRUMENT WILL ALLOW DELIVERY OF REGIONAL, HOURLY READOUTS OF ATMOSPHERE DATA DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. THIS DATA WILL ADVANCE AIR QUALITY RESEARCH ON HOW AIR POLLUTION AFFECTS CLIMATE CHANGE AND AIR QUALITY ON A CONTINENTAL SCALE. |
